How do you elevate a dining experience beyond the plate? For Maki & Ramen, an award-winning Japanese restaurant chain with locations across the UK, we answered this by creating a drinks menu that matches the authenticity of their celebrated food.

Our design supports their mission to deliver traditional Japanese cuisine with flair, celebrating everything from eight-hour slow-cooked broth to handmade noodles. At its heart is a carefully curated drinks menu where each cocktail connects to Japanese culture, from the theatrical Japanese Elixir served under a sakura tree to the Geisha's Kiss that transports diners to an okiya in Kyoto.

We collaborated with photographer Andrew Fuller for stunning food and drink photography, and Studio Mustard for a promotional film that brings their offering to life. The result? A comprehensive brand refresh that positions Maki & Ramen's drinks experience as integral to their dining journey, with beautifully designed menus, captivating visuals, and content that showcases why they were named Scotland's Best Japanese Restaurant by Deliveroo.
